2020
quarterlyREPORT
The first quarter of 2020 brought us all a curve ball. While taking our services into a digital arena has certainly been on the radar for years, we suddenly found ourselves with no option BUT digital. Our Sunday services had a rough start with live stream service issues, but our staff and amazing volunteers pulled it off week after week.
SOCIALLY DISTANT

MORE SOCIALLY CONNECTED
Our reliance on social media has continued to grow and with daily connections directly into each other's homes, many are experiencing a closeness that we've never had before! Between Steve and Sherry going back and forth at 9am Covid Coffee, LifeGroups meeting through ZOOM, and Systematic Theology each week, we have been given a unique opportunity to connect deeper.
Take a look at how our social connections have grown!

Served in some capacity

This quarter we didn't just reach outside our walls into our community, we are learned to live outside them all the time. Creating new innovative ways to reach, inspire, and share the gospel with those around us, our For Gilmer strategy has learned to adapt and grow in ways we never imagined! From meeting needs at Tower Road like, routine playground upkeep and serving up meals while the kids were out of school, to stocking shelves at the Gilmer County Food Pantry, we have been hard at work trying to identify and meet the current needs of our community- both physically and digitally.
Here are a few ways we are doing just that on a weekly basis:
Weekly Family Resource Packets Available On Site Each Week
Staying Connected With Daily Covid Coffee with Sherry & Steve
Praying for our Community, Leaders, and Individual Needs
Community Partnerships with the School System, Food Pantry, and local EMS

Jeff Parker
With God's most perfect timing, Jeff Parker came on board to be our new Worship Pastor in March. While his first month wasn't what anyone expected, we are incredibly thankful for his leadership and willingness to dive right in and serve!
He and his family are really looking forward to connecting with everyone face to face soon!
2020 Quarterly Financial Report
$135,000

Actual Budget Giving
Year To Year Contributions
February was already a surprisingly low month, due to an unexpected snow day. Giving tends to drop when attendance drops.
March is obviously low, since we aren't able to gather.
Fortunately, we have had online giving in place for quite some time, and have just added the option to "text to give." We hope this will continue to empower generosity for the sake of the Gospel.
New Property Loan Update
As part of our "aggressive paydown plan," we were able to pay off an additional $100,000 dollars with our Building Fund in Quarter 1, 2020!
