Supplication

Your Requests Known to God

Define

Most of what you do in your life can happen without supernatural grace or some sort of divine intervention. You can make your coffee, drive to work, meet your deadlines, cook dinner, watch tv, and kiss your kids goodnight without God really being very involved.

But you exist to do things that cannot be done without the special, supernatural grace of God.

This is especially true of us corporately. We are not a club, or a social organization. We are called to do what cannot be humanly done... Our purpose is to make the gospel relevant to our community by loving God, loving others, and making disciples.  This is simply impossible without God's special, supernatural grace.

God WILL accomplish his purpose in this world, but over and over he tells us he will accomplish it as an answer to prayer.

It is easy to make supplication... To ask God... To work on our purposes, and on our kingdom... But are we asking for what God wants? Are we asking for His Kingdom to come? For HIS will to be done on earth, as it is in Heaven?

Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you.
2 Thessalonians 3:1

In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the LORD.
Jeremiah 29:12-14

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you”
Matthew 7:7

You do not have, because you do not ask.
James 4:2

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Don’t give offense to Jews or Gentiles or the church of God.  I, too, try to please everyone in everything I do. I don’t just do what is best for me; I do what is best for others so that many may be saved.
1 Corinthians 10:31-33
