2021

quarterlyREPORT

We'd say 2021 started great, and boy, are we glad! Being able to have in-person classes, Super Tailgate Sunday, and celebrating Easter IN PERSON are just a few examples of how God has been Good. As you take a look at this page, we hope you're excited for what this year has already brought and the changes it will bring!

This quarter we continue to find innovative ways to inspire growth and share the gospel with those around us both physically and digitally. Our For Gilmer strategy has adapted and grown in ways we never imagined! From meeting the needs at Tower Road to stocking shelves at the Gilmer County Food Pantry, we have been hard at work continually identifying and meeting the needs of our community.

Here are a few ways we are doing just that weekly:

Weekly Family Resource Packets Available On-Site Each Week

Praying for our Community, Leaders, and Individual Needs

Community Partnerships with the School System, Food Pantry, and local EMS

Jeff Parker

With God's most perfect timing, Jeff Parker came on board to be our new Worship Pastor in March.  While his first month wasn't what anyone expected, we are incredibly thankful for his leadership and willingness to dive right in and serve!

He and his family are really looking forward to connecting with everyone face to face soon!

Super Tailgate Sunday was a BLAST!
Life Groups set up tailgates with a theme and it was a morning full of food, fun, and much needed fellowship.

Easter Sunday!

This Easter we were happy to offer three services. Our 8:30AM service was offered for those who are 'higher risk'. For the first time in a year we were able to offer a 10:00AM and 11:30AM service without social distancing and masks required.

Kidz Zone

We cleaned, planned and trained in preparation for the re-opening of Kidz Zone! Easter Sunday was full of excitement as kids were welcomed back without masks or reservations required!

This first quarter allowed us to offer both online and in-person classes!

MORE SOCIALLY CONNECTED

Our reliance on social media has continued to grow and with daily connections directly into each other's homes, many are experiencing a closeness that we've never had before!   We have been given a unique opportunity to connect deeper.

Look at how our social connections have grown!

2021 Quarterly Financial Report

$135,000

1st Quarter Budget

$149,052

1st Quarter Giving

$124,751

1st Quarter Spending

February was already a surprisingly low month, due to an unexpected snow day.  Giving tends to drop when attendance drops.

March is obviously low, since we aren't able to gather.

Fortunately, we have had online giving in place for quite some time, and have just added the option to "text to give." We hope this will continue to empower generosity for the sake of the Gospel.

  • Love God: $4,450
  • Love Others: $9,774
  • Make Disciples: $1,647
  • For Gilmer: $2,639
  • Facilities: $20,167
  • Admin: $26,884
  • Payroll: $59,190

Due to Covid-19, we found ourselves with a surplus from the previous year. We chose to set aside that money to beautify our existing property. Below you will find the first project we tackled. The parking lot island was in desperate need of a facelift. As you can see, we designed a space that would not only make a great first impression but a space that would allow for fellowship too!

Re | Innovate

Knowing how positive and impactful the change to our island was and realizing we would be on our property for a few more years, we decided that our outside needed some TLC.

In March, we launched our second big project -
Re | Innovate. This project would significantly improve that first impression and increase our capacity for meeting and relationship building.

Current Fund Balances

$80,000 was needed to break ground on this renovation! Our church family showed up in a big way and we were able to raise the total amount needed within weeks of presenting this project to our congregation!
