2026

quarterlyREPORT

The first quarter of 2021

The 2nd quarter started off with a quick change of plans for our Easter celebration. We had planned on having it at River Park, but God had other plans. Rain brought us indoors with over 715 in attendance across 3 services. We gave out 150 books and 200 bags of candy at Literacy Night. 20 moms enjoyed muffins with their kids for Mother's Day at our Muffins with Mom Sunday morning event. Our student ministry (OSM) took 27 students along with 9 adult leaders/volunteers on our first full-on mission camp at Camp Poki in Virginia. 18 dads enjoyed donuts with their kids for Father's Day at our Donuts with Dad Sunday morning event. 5 Families participated in our Parent/Child Dedication, with a total of 6 children dedicated. During all of this, we planned, trained, decluttered and began packing for our move.

Easter Sunday

We planned on having Easter at River Park, but God had other plans. The rain came, so we moved in doors, but that didn't keep anyone away! We had over 700 worshiping with us on Easter Sunday. Our Kidz Zone kids led us in worship, and we baptized 9 people.

Engagement

Our attendance numbers are growing compared to this time last year! The Celebrate Recovery attendance numbers are the total over the 3 separate meetings at The Orchard Church, Timothy House and Inmate Outreach for Fannin County.

Kidz Zone

It was an active quarter for our Kidz Zone! Easter saw 109 children join us in Kidz Zone. 20 Moms joined us upstairs with their kids on Mother's Day for Muffins with Mom. Father's Day brought 18 dad's upstairs with their kids for Donuts with Dad, and in the main auditorium we had 5 families dedicate 6 children at our Parent/Child Dedication.

Student Ministry

Project Pocahontas gave our students a chance to step away from their normal routines and serve people in a real, hands-on way. They spent their days working at Camp Poki and helping people in need with repairs, painting, yard work, pressure washing, and other projects that had become difficult to manage alone. The work was not always easy, but students jumped in, worked together, and saw how something as practical as repairing a ramp or cleaning up a property can show someone the love of Jesus. We also made room for worship, devotionals, games, time together, and a community block party that brought the whole week together. Along the way, friendships grew, students were stretched, and faith became something they were actively living, not just talking about. Project Pocahontas left a real mark on the community and on the students who served it. We took with us 27 youth, 9 adult leaders/volunteers and had 2 youth salvations!

Orchard Women of the Word

The Names of God study series continued for April with Jehovah Jireh and May with Ash Oklah/El Kanna. Averaging 26 in attendance each month, the women enjoyed fellowshipping and diving deeper into who God is. 11 volunteers served a total of 64 hours in the second quarter! They took the month of June off.

8 Spiritual Father’s are in mentoring relationships with spiritual sons.

OG’s continue to meet the first Saturday of the month for our breakfast at iHop. It's been a wonderful time of fellowship and devotionals together. Attendance per month varied with 23 in April, 18 in May and  12 in June.

The OG team leaders also began planning for a multi-church Men's event for early next year.

Celebrate Recovery

We brought the Timothy House back to our usual Friday night meeting this quarter. 13 men and women graduated from Step Studies. We saw the fruit of our Fannin County Inmate Outreach program by watching the statistics on local repeat offenders drop. Many women we have served are growing in their relationship with Christ and their recovery. We have seen families restored and healing happening through the grace of God. 39 volunteers served 730 hours and 1,284 meals!

We continue to find innovative ways to inspire growth and share the gospel with those around us both physically and digitally. Our For Gilmer strategy has adapted and grown in ways we never imagined! From the Seamless Summer Program to Literacy Night, Back[packs]-to-School and our HopeTree, we have been hard at work continually identifying and meeting the needs of our community.

Guatemala Ministry

Supporting Pastor Secundino Perez Herrera

Two elders and two deacons walked into a church building in Guatemala.
It is an old, run-down awful building. Pastor Secundino is trying to get his new church building built. His congregation has raised enough money for four walls and a roof, but still needed a floor, windows, and front doors.

We prayed about it, and funded the completion of their building by sending them $12,000 from our Guatemala fund so they can begin meeting there as soon as possible!

Jeff Parker

With God's most perfect timing, Jeff Parker came on board to be our new Worship Pastor in March.  While his first month wasn't what anyone expected, we are incredibly thankful for his leadership and willingness to dive right in and serve!

He and his family are really looking forward to connecting with everyone face to face soon!

DEEPER CONNECTIONS

We continue to look for new ways to engage with our online audience. We understand not everyone can meet in person, which is why our digital presence is so important to us, both on Sunday mornings and throughout the week. Take a look at the social connections we're making!

February was already a surprisingly low month, due to an unexpected snow day.  Giving tends to drop when attendance drops.

March is obviously low, since we aren't able to gather.

Fortunately, we have had online giving in place for quite some time, and have just added the option to "text to give." We hope this will continue to empower generosity for the sake of the Gospel.
