In the light of Peter’s mandate, we can define apologetics as the defense of the faith. As a theological science, it is the discipline by which we learn to give reasons for our hope, always honoring Christ and showing love for inquirers.

What is “wokeness,” where did it come from, and how should Christians respond? Wokeness vs. Christianity explores the roots of Marxism and modern woke ideology, their influence on Western culture, and the contrasting views of humanity, morality, justice, and society found in Scripture. Across four weeks, we’ll examine Critical Race Theory, intersectionality, DEI, socialism, dechristianization, and the historical record of Marxist and socialist movements—while building a distinctly Christian framework for understanding and engaging the culture around us. Ultimately, our hope is not found in political movements or cultural trends, but in the truth of Scripture and the victory of Christ. Class is lead by Larry Lynch.
Week One:
The history and origins of Wokeness in Marxism up to the 21st century.
• Critical Race Theory, wokeism, and DEI. We will briefly explore what is going on today and why awareness is important.
• We will analyze the world view of humanity versus the Biblical view.
• The left versus right paradigm explored.
• Dechristianization in the West, Systemic Oppression and Intersectionality.
Week Two:
How the socialists are stoking the fires of wokeness and bring socialism into mainstream western culture.
• Modern proponents of Marxism.
• The foundations of society and how these foundations are attacked.
• How we are being conditioned to gradually accept socialism and the controls it offers.
Week Three:
The historical evidence of the disasters caused by socialism
• The historical evidence of systemic Marxist/socialist failures
• “Follow the science,” a mantra that deceives and the some of the horrible effects of “science” thru out history.
• The morality of the proponents of Marxism.
Week Four:
Fighting Back
• The Christian view and building our foundations.• Counter-Revolution is in order and required.
• Christ is the ultimate victor
